Sometimes we overdo it a little with the road tripping. Yesterday we left Hässleholm, Sweden at 6:15am and after 1198km, 3 countries, 1 ferry, 8 highways, 5 tunnels, 3 major traffic jams and countless construction sites (the longest was 30km) we arrived in Eching by Munich at 10pm. So, today we're just hanging out at the local lake watching ducks and doing basically nothing. #germany #family #roadtrip #restday #anneontheroad

And we also went to Sandhammeren, supposedly the most beautiful beach of Sweden. Crowded in the summer we had this part of it all for ourselves for about half an hour. It was warm enough for me to go barefoot (and in the water too!) #sandhammaren #sweden #barefootinapril #beach #anneontheroad

I don't need no Stonehenge. Today we went to Ale Stenar, a viking site with astronomical settings believed to be used in rituals around the solstices. There are sheep up there roaming around, not giving a sh*t if they're pooping inside the circle. But before we went up there we had smoked makerele for lunch at the Kåseberga Fisk. #kaseberga #alestenar #sweden #prettycoololdstuff #sheeppoopeverywhere

I do have to remind myself that the country I'm traveling in is called Sweden and not IKEA. Kivik is a beautiful coastal town and apparently the producer of some nice apple cider. Travelling off season all the little towns are still quite sleepy and a lot of stuff is still closed but it's nice without crowds. And the fields are turning green as we speak. #kivik #sweden #balticsea #anneontheroad
