Eigentlich wollte ich ja in meinem letzten Post noch ein paar andere Sachen zeigen, aber irgendwie bin ich da wohl unterbrochen worden 😉 Das erste Olympia-Wochenende war hier ein langes Wochenende mit Feiertag, so dass ich die Gelegenheit genutzt und mit Kathleen gefaerbt habe. Gefaerbt habe ich ein paar Probestraenge, um die Farben, die ich bisher nicht genutzt hatte, auszutesten.
I actually wanted to show some other things in my last post as well but somehow I got interrupted ;). The first Olympia weekend was a long weekend here and I used it to dye some stuff with Kathleen. I dyed some sample skeins with dyes that I didn’t use before.
Die beiden linken Straenge sind mit Jacquard in “lilac” gefaerbt, der aeusserste mit einem Hauch Schwarz. In der Mitte sieht man Lanaset in Gruen, das mehr Tuerkis als Gruen aussieht, darunter Jacquard in “purple” und der unsterste Strang ist mit dem Rest vom purple gefaerbt worden, indem wir ihn einfach ueber Nacht im Topf liegen lassen haben. Die beiden obersten Straenge sind Malarigo worsted und dienen nur dem Vergleich mit “lilac” wie man auf den unteren Photos erkennen kann.
The two left skeins are dyed with Jacquard in “lilac”, the one on the far left has also a little black in it. In the middle you can see a skein dyed with Lanaset in “green” which is more a teal and on the bottom the purple skein is dyed with Jacquard in “purple”. The pinkish one is dyed with the leftovers of the purple one. We just left it in the dye pot over night. The two top skeins are Malabrigo worsted for comparison with the “lilac” as you can also see on the next pictures.
Das Ergebnis war Zufall, aber interessant.
The result was just coincidence but interesting.
Und da man fuer solche Farben auf Dauer ja ‘ne Sonnenbrille braucht, habe ich hinterher was “ordentliches” gefaerbt 😉 Ich hatte letztes Jahr auf einem garage sale 4 Straenge Fibranatura Yummy erstanden, die ich farbmaessig einfach nicht mehr mochte. Einzeln eigentlich schon meine Farben, aber zusammen einfach baeh.
And since long-term you need sunglasses for this kind of colours I dyed some “right” colours afterwards 😉 I bought 4 skeins of Fibranatura Yummy at a garage sale last year and even that these are my colours I didn’t like them together anymore.
Also Farben, Faerbetopf und Essig rausgeholt und losgefaerbt. Ueberfaerbt habe ich mit Lanaset in grau und als ich die Wolle aus dem Topf nahm, hab’ ich erstmal gedacht, ich haette ohne Absicht Schwarz gefaerbt (schwer zu glauben, ich weiss 😉 ) Aber nach dem Trocknen sah es dann doch anders aus. Dank eines neu gefundenen Platzes im Haus, der sich wunderbar zum Garnphotos machen eignet, war es auch moeglich die ungemein breite Schattierung von Knallschwarz und Neon-Anthrazit erkennbar auf’s Bild zu bringen 😉
Very spontanously I took out my dyes, the dyepot and vinegar and started dyeing. I overdyed with Lanaset in grey and when I took out the yarn my first thought was I dyed black without intention (hard to believe, I know 😉 ) but after drying it looked differently. Due to a new found photo spot in my house it was possible to get the very wide colour range of jet black and neon-charcoal on a picture 😉
Gleichzeitig verschwand dieses Knaeuel noch im Faerbetopf. Eigentlich hatte ich es nur gekauft, um mal auszutesten, ob ich Mohair eigentlich mag, vertrage etc., aber die Farbe… nicht wirklich rosa, nicht wirklich lila, also ab in den Topf.
In the same pot this small skein of mohair something went. I only bought it to test if I actually like / can wear mohair but the colour… not really pink, not really purple, in the dyepot it went.
