Immer noch auf den Nadeln, aber es neigt sich dem Ende zu, der Drops Cardigan.

Still on the needles but it’s going to be finished soon: The Drops cardigan.

Muehsam ernaehrt sich das Eichhoernchen 😉 Seit dem letzten Post hab’ ich ausschliesslich am Drops Cardigan gestrickt und mittlerweile ist er auf 17cm Laenge gewachsen, was in etwa 100 Reihen mit je 265 Maschen entspricht. Die Abnahmen fuer die Taille sind gemacht und nun geht’s erstmal ohne Besonderheiten weiter bis 20cm und dann fangen die Zunahmen an.

Bit by bit I’m knitting away on my Drops cardigan. I was knitting it exclusively since the last post and now it’s about 17cm / 6.5 inches long which is about 100 rows 265 stitches each 😉 The decreases for the waist are done and now I’m knitting until the piece measures about 20cm / 8 inches before starting the increases for the bust.

Auch wenn’s manchmal nicht so aussieht, ich stricke auch noch. Momentan hab’ ich 3 Projekte, an denen ich im Wechsel regelmaessig stricke:

Einen schlichten Cardigan von Drops in Sockenwolle, der hoffentlich fertig wird bevor es wieder kaelter wird (was hoffentlich laut Vorhersage noch bis September dauern wird, da eben diese einen heissen August und September vorhersagt). Im Moment bin ich noch am Buendchen, da das Perlmuster irgendwie etwas laenger dauert. In ein, zwei Reihen hab’ ich genug und dann geht’s glatt rechts weiter.

A simple cardigan from Drops in sock yarn and I hope it will be finished before the weather changes to cold again (which hopefully won’t happen until September according to the forecast since this says we are supposed to get a hot August and September). Right now I am still at the border which I am knitting in seed stitch and somehow this takes longer. Another one or two rows and then it continues with stockinette stitch.

Das zweite Projekt sind Stulpen, Dué Amori von Sivia Harding, die ich Ende Juni in einem Kurs mit Sivia angefangen habe. Der Kurs war ueber’s Stricken mit Perlen, was ich eigentlich schon mal ausprobiert hatte, aber ich wollte einfach nur mal einen Kurs mit Sivia machen, was auch sehr schoen war 🙂

The second project are the Dué Amori Gloves from Sivia Harding which I started in a class with her at the end of June. The class was about knitting with beads which I have done before but I just wanted to take a class with Sivia 🙂

Das letzte Projekt sind schlichte Socken fuer mich in einem Garn, das ich auf dem Leipziger Wolle-Fest erstanden hatte. Ein Photo von den Socken hab’ ich nicht, aber von der Wolle 😉

The last project are plain vanilla socks for me in a yarn I bought at the Leipziger Wolle-Fest. I don’t have a picture of the socks but of the yarn 😉
